Madeline McCann Missing?

Madeline McCann Missing?
Ever since this case came to light I have smelled a bad fish! Too many things didn’t mount up. But I thought it best to wait and see what the Portuguese Police come up with before coming to a conclusion.
The Portuguese Police have now announced the McCann’s as suspects in the disappearance of their daughter. This is either a tremendous blunder or the culmination of months of dogged police investigations. I can’t make up my mind which it is! However, a few things concern me.
In the first place the McCann’s go out for dinner leaving their three children unattended. Now this is simply stupid and parents are often stupid. But the McCann’s don’t seem to fit this mold.
I would never leave children in this sort of situation unattended especially at night when they might wake up looking for their parents. Now if an emergency occurred there might be a reason to leave children unattended but this is not the case here.
The excuse that they went back every hour to keep an eye on them seems a little weak, but they may have been just plain stupid. And being stupid is not a crime although it shows terribly poor judgment!
The idea that someone has kidnapped Madeline for a child sex ring, or kidnapping for adoption is not as far fetched as one might think but it seems a little convenient in this case.
For someone to have done this they would have had to stake out the McCann’s for some time in order to make sure they were undetected. If she was indeed kidnapped I would think it would involve someone from the resort itself or someone known to the McCanns or someone who had befriended them.
The Portuguese Police have behaved as so many mainland European Police Forces do, mysteriously, unfathomably and seemingly incompetent. Maybe they presumed the McCanns were telling the truth and did not pursue the idea that they might be involved with the disappearance and only now are they backtracking on their investigation. Who know? The only thing I can smell a rat in this affair.
